SPOONLEAD  (V.)‘spoon-leed   To open your own mouth wide, when feeding a baby, in an unconscious effort to coax the baby to do the same thing. Usage: Derek tried to spoonlead Matilda her pureed carrots, but no matter how wide he opened his mouth, she kept hers tightly shut, and shook her head ‘no’ with firm toddler resolve.
