OCCUPLAYTION (N). Ok-yoo-‘play-shun  A non-demanding, fanciful “job” invented for heroines of Hollywood romcoms (sometimes pursued by real-life filles de privilège). Usage: As a kid, Mindy dreamed of being a plant waterer like Drew Barrymore in “Music & Lyrics;”  a corporate gifter like Marilu Henner in “L.A. Story;” or a totebag maker like Monica Lewinsky. But at 21, she realized that those were occuplaytions, not real career options, and took a job at Avis.
