VACOMACATION (N.) vah-‘ko-ma-kay-shun A holiday spent napping and pretending to read, as opposed to swimming, hiking, boating, boogie-boarding, playing tennis, or joining in boisterous group activities. Usage: While the others peeled off to bike to the lighthouse, kayak to the nature preserve, or climb the dunes, Lars installed himself on the sofa, where he dozed for six hours, a book propped over his face, reveling in his vacomacation.
