ANOREXUAL (N.) an-nur-‘rec-shoo-al Someone who equates emaciation with intellectual rigor, and whose angular, fat-free body reflects that value. (Also may be used as Adj.) Usage: Pia applied for a position at a think tank, but was afraid she wasn’t skinny enough to make the cut. She had a law degree and a sterling résumé, but most people she knew who got jobs like that were anorexuals- bone-thin men and women who seemed to be taken very seriously, perhaps because their heads were so large in contrast with their puny frames.
