BLOTTER (N) ‘blot-tur Food eaten during (or after) a night of revelry to soak up alcohol and stave off (or soothe) hangover. Also, blotterage -supply of blotters. Usage: Dave threw Ilya’s stag party at a Brighton Beach club because he knew there’d be vats of festive vodka, and plenty of blotterage to sop it up—chicken kiev, prime rib, and potatoes—so the groomsmen wouldn’t end up in the hospital. Dave never underestimated the importance of blotters.
